L.L.E.G.O.O. Mommy Mentoring Program
What is that LLEGOO Mommy Mentoring Program?
LLEGOO Mommy Mentoring Program is a monthly group mentoring meetup for young mothers, 15-30 years old, in the city of Yonkers. Young moms grab their babies and meetup with local mentors and friends (The Kid Keepers 😂) for 2 hours of food, fellowship, figuring it out together and fun!
Why support LLEGOO Mommy Mentoring Program?
Being a teen isn’t easy, now add being a mom to it, and yes, it’s as challenging as you think. Young moms often believe “life is over” after they become pregnant, and it’s hard to see differently if you don’t have a support network. LLEGOO is just that! We’re a support network for young mothers in the city of Yonkers, offering many things from access to a sound listening ear to Zumba classes.
What does your donation provide?
Moms and volunteer mentors and friends, meet monthly for 2 hours. Meetups are focused on one of the 4 key areas of development:
- education
- financial literacy
- health & wellness
- parenting & life skills
Meetups also include a meal, and childcare so mommies get some “mom mental health time”. We have structured sessions and at the end of the year we acknowldge milestones and give recognition. Food, baby items, session resources and workshop facilitators cost! We also do our best to help moms meet their daily basic needs and needed baby supplies. (You cannot bring a baby from the hospital without a car seat.) We love and accept in-kind donations, monetary donations or you may see our wish lists and contribute a specific need. Every gift is a godsend and deeply appreciated.

At LLEGOO (Loving Lifting Encouraging Girls Over Obstacles) Mommy Mentoring Program, our mission is to provide unwavering support, education, and empowerment to young mothers aged 15-30in Yonkers, and beyond. Embracing the belief when a young mom has a baby, “A new reason for her to live just came alive!”, we aim to create a nurturing environment where young mothers can access the resources, guidance, and community they need to thrive. Through group mentoring, educational workshops, and life skills training, we strive to equip these women to reach their highest potential. We understand that “When you help transform the life of a mom, you transform generations,” and we are committed to loving, lifting, and encouraging every young mother on her journey to greatness.

The Partner HUBB is a centralized platform where you can explore various resources and programs made available through our community partnerships. By joining the Partner HUBB, you gain access to a network of organizations and initiatives that are dedicated to supporting individuals and families in Yonkers. L.L.E.G.O.O. House (coming soon)
LLEGOO House is a transformative initiative aimed at making a positive impact in our community. By learning about LLEGOO House, you’ll discover how your support can directly contribute to creating meaningful change in Yonkers. A 3-5 year comprehensive housing and development project, LLEGOO House focuses on providing vital services and programs that address critical needs, such as education, health and wellness, and childcare for homeless young moms in the city. Your involvement with LLEGOO House can truly make a difference by empowering individuals and families towards a brighter future.
